The area

The department of Creuse is a very rural area in central France. It is known as the lake district of France and the landscape consists of  pasture, woods, rivers and lakes. The area is peaceful and sparsely populated and ideal for those who enjoy walking, cycling, horse-riding, fishing or any other outdoor activity.
